Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Hey Hello Ltd., company number 517155461, of Eshkol Levy 100, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel ("Hey", "we", "us", "our"), governing your use of the Hey mobile application (the "App").

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Hey is

Hey is a location-based social application that helps people connect with others nearby across three modes - Dating, Social, and Network - through a proximity-based radar map. Hey is currently available only in Israel.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to use Hey.
  • By using Hey, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
  • Hey is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
  • You may not use Hey if we have previously removed you, or if doing so would breach any applicable law.

3. Your account

  • You sign in using your phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number and account secure.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account.
  • One person, one account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be transferred.

4. Demo and test profiles

The App may display demo profiles - non-genuine profiles used for testing, demonstrations, and store review. Under normal use, demo profiles are not shown to regular users and you will not be matched with or able to message them. Certain designated test or demonstration accounts may see demo profiles; regular accounts will not.

5. Rules of conduct

You agree not to:

  • use Hey for any unlawful purpose;
  • harass, threaten, abuse, defame, stalk, or harm anyone;
  • post content that is false, misleading, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for the platform;
  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • upload photos that are not of you, or that you do not have the right to use;
  • solicit money, promote commercial products or services, or spam other users;
  • attempt to access another user's account or any non-public area of the service;
  • scrape, harvest, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the App or its systems;
  • use Hey if you are a registered sex offender or have been convicted of a serious violent or sexual offence.

Our Community Guidelines form part of these Terms and describe expected behaviour in more detail.

6. Your content

  • You keep ownership of the content you create and upload.
  • You grant Hey a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating and providing the App (for example, showing your profile to other users). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are solely responsible for your content and must have the rights to it.
  • All photos must be of you and appropriate for the platform.
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

7. Safety

  • Hey helps you meet people, but we do not conduct criminal background checkson users and we cannot guarantee anyone's identity, conduct, or intentions.
  • Always use caution. Never send money or share financial information. Meet in public places, and tell someone where you are going.
  • If someone makes you feel unsafe, use the in-app report and block tools. You can report a user you believe is under 18, and we will act promptly.
  • You are responsible for your interactions with other users.

8. Notifications and messages

By using Hey, you agree to receive service messages necessary to operate your account, including your SMS verification code. Optional notifications (such as activity or "hotspot" alerts) are sent only if you enable them, and you can turn them off at any time.

9. Availability and changes to the service

  • We provide the App on an "as available" basis and may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
  • We may update the App, including for security, legal, or operational reasons.

10. Suspension and termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from within the App. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or our Community Guidelines, if required by law, or to protect users or the service. Where reasonable, we will let you know why.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that you will find a match or connection, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hey and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App or your interactions with other users.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Hey harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under applicable law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will notify you in the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
